Laura is the Senior Vice President of Public Relations for VVK PR+ Creative. In this role, Laura will oversee communications and media strategy for corporate and nonprofit clients as well as support the implementation and growth across the entire portfolio. She brings more than two decades of experience in public relations, communications strategy, marketing, and brand management across the corporate, nonprofit and governmental sectors.

Most recently, Laura served as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs for the national veteran-serving nonprofit The Mission Continues where she led all communications, digital marketing, and public relations strategies for four national leadership programs. During her tenure she led communications and marketing for the expansion of operations to more than 50 cities in the US and Puerto Rico. Earlier in her career she was the Head of Global Communications, as well as the Vice President of Global Branding for the Commercial Insurance division of American International Group (AIG) in New York.

Laura—a metro Detroit native—relocated back to the area from New York City in 2016. She’s an active member of the Georgetown University Detroit Hoyas Alumni board, the Association of Women in Communications, and a volunteer with several local nonprofits.

She holds a B.S. in Communications and Public Relations from The University of Texas as well as an M.B.A. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. An avid reader and traveler, while not in the office, Laura’s likely shopping at local independent bookstores or accumulating new stamps in her passport.
