Zakiyyah is a public relations coordinator with VVK PR + Creative who broke into the industry as an intern for the Detroit Medical Center and Karmanos Cancer Institute. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in public relations and image management although her love for communications started right out of high school. As a wordsmith, she leverages creative opportunities within writing to connect people and ideas in effective and compelling ways. Most recently, Zakiyyah was a digital media assistant for Les Go Social Media and Marketing Training. Zakiyyah creates social media posts, press releases, and pitch proposals while being a project manager for the VVK teams and clients. Working with a team is a thriving space for Zakiyyah because she energized by different ideas and likes to put them together to for creative solutions. Some of her hobbies include makeup and fashion, music of all genres, and learning about different cultures.
