Team Schwartz vs. Big Insurance

Every year, the biggest night in advertising gives brands an opportunity to create larger-than-life moments. This was VVK PR + Creative’s fifth regional Super Bowl campaign for one of our law firm clients. This year, our creative team rolled up their sleeves to deliver something bold, nostalgic, and undeniably fun for Richard Schwartz & Associates.
The Concept
Picture this: Team Schwartz is up against a lineup of recognizable insurance company mascots (you know the ones we’re talking about) in a no-holds-barred bowling competition. From the neon glow of an ‘80s-inspired montage to delightful “Easter eggs” that fans of “The Big Lebowski” and “Kingpin” will catch, the concept aimed to strike nostalgia while delivering laughs.
Our vision was to showcase the Schwartz team bowling a perfect game, effortlessly outshining the competition. With helpful input and creativity from our client, we creative a concept that combined humor, strategy, and just the right amount of over-the-top spectacle.
Making It Happen
With our four Schwartz lawyers leading the charge, we casted another four featured actors for the insurance mascots and brought in 17 extras to serve as the crowd. Transforming mascots required heavy makeup and wardrobe adjustments, which kept our set busy.
The greatest challenge? Shooting it all in a single day. With our client in town for one day only and league night scheduled in the early evening, we had to move fast, make some tough calls, and trim shots while safeguarding the narrative’s integrity.
Collaborating with a client like Richard Schwartz & Associates is a dream for any creative team. Their trust allows us to craft spots like these that resonate with their community while spotlighting their brand.
